Congress has a lot to learn from the game of soccer. It demonstrates the importance of everyone finding ways to support each other, how to advance a shared goal, and the need for constant communication. This training session will be conducted by Peter Loge, author the book Soccer Thinking for Management Success: Lessons for Organizations from the World's Game. Peter will draw on his experience as a senior staffer in the Congress (a former House Chief of Staff), and Obama administration.

Peter's presentation and research is based on interviews with more than two dozen soccer players at every level to provide practical advice for today's managers. More about the book, including interviews with The Hill and Roll Call, is at SoccerThinking.com."

About the Presenter

Peter is currently an Associate Professor of Media and Public Affairs and Director of the Project on Ethics in Political Communication at George Washington University. He was the founder and principal at the legislative strategy firm Milo Public Affairs LLC, where his clients included AmericaSpeaks, "America's Funniest Home Videos," the World Wildlife Fund and WickedCoolStuff.com.
