We at CMF know that managing a congressional office is challenging. Senior managers in Congress have a lot to do in a short amount of time with a large staff to oversee. But CMF research and experience suggests that enhancing management skills is possible, IF the manager makes a commitment to improvement.
In consultation with experts, as well as district and state directors, CMF also offers the following resources to staff on managing and addressing the safety concerns that exist in congressional offices.
Following the tragic events in Arizona, staff and Members view their constituent interactions through a different prism, and have a new awareness of the potential risks posed by public service. CMF has identified four things you as a manager can do right now during this personal safety crisis.
CMF's Partnership For A More Perfect Union is dedicated to enriching the relationship between citizens and Congress by comprehensively addressing the deteriorating relationship and communications challenges faced by both sides.
The Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to helping Congress and its Members meet the evolving needs and expectations of an engaged and informed 21st century citizenry.
