New Year's Resolutions in Advocacy...For Other People

The Partnership for a More Perfect Union e-newsletter will be one year old this month. Our goal to improve the value of this newsletter led us to ask ourselves, "What do the subscribers think?"

Our list of subscribers breaks down into four roughly equal-sized groups: congressional staff, advocacy organizations, private companies, and citizens. Each one has a different viewpoint or goal in our mission to improve the communications between Congress and the public.

As the New Year is always a time for reflection on self-improvement through making resolutions, the Partnership wanted to ask instead what resolutions you would wish for the other groups of subscribers. Take just a minute if you will and send me an email laying out a resolution for one or more of the four groups of subscribers. This will help us determine which topics to address and study in greater detail. Copy and paste this template if it will help.

We won't share your identity or any other information, just your resolutions. We hope that each group will learn something about themselves and the other groups. We hope to continue this back and forth throughout the year, but we need to hear from you. Send your messages to James Vaughn at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. In our next e-newsletter we will offer you a simple poll asking in particular what you like or don't like about the Partnership newsletter and other communications we send to you.
