Event Details

The most challenging aspects of your Chief of Staff role revolves around your ability to influence your Member to make informed choices.

  • Can your Member act aloof with the staff?
  • Does she micromanage to the point of distraction?
  • Is everything viewed as a top priority?
  • Does he become unhinged when things are less than perfect?
  • Does your Member's "dark" moods bring everyone down and result in poor staff output and high turnover?
  • Is the Member overly sensitive to corrective feedback (e.g., won't ever listen to suggestions)?

In this seminar you will learn to:

  • Listen, so that both you and the Member are sure you're getting it right.
  • Raise delicate issues without evoking a negative response.
  • Avoid false assumptions by checking out perceptions.
Presenters:
