Democracy Awards: A Closer Look at the "Life in Congress" Workplace Environment Finalists

The Democracy Awards Finalists for the four office categories were announced in February. Twenty House and Senate offices were honored in four categories: Constituent Service, Innovation, Transparency and Accountability, and "Life in Congress" Workplace Environment. Two winners (one Republican and one Democrat) from each category will be announced in May. Prior to this announcement, we've been highlighting the finalists from each of these categories. Washington – good or evil?

A politician of some notoriety recently made a comment about Washington that some Americans would agree with. "A lot of evil there... [a] lot of evil, a lot of bad people, a lot of bad people."

On the contrary, Washington is filled with lots of good people – but we often don't hear about them.
